Ayurveda (Ayur = to live; Veda = knowledge) refers to an ancient Indian healing and health concept that sees the human being as a unity of body, mind and soul. Ayurvedic principles of health are based on the three doshas (VATA, PITA and KAPHA). They can be defined as energies or life principles that are anchored in every human being. However, the distribution of the doshas in a person is individual and describes our physical and mental dispositions.

The three doshas are naturally balanced and control all human bodily functions. However, many people disturb this natural harmony through their diet, lifestyle, emotions and other factors. As a result, each type is prone to certain diseases. Therefore, it is very important for each individual to find out what characterises their particular type in order to lead a healthy and fulfilled life.

Ayurvedic massages and treatments

Ayurvedic massages are based on the teachings of vital energy points (Marmas) and energy channels (Nadis).
Through the soothing massage with warm oil, the Marmas and Nadis are stimulated, activating the body's innate healing powers. This has a direct effect on the organ system and a calming influence on the entire nervous system.
