Myoreflex Therapy
after Dr Kurt Mosetter, MD
The development of myoreflex therapy has been based on a variety of different findings and sciences since ca. 1990. It was founded by Dr Kurt Mosetter. As an integrative and holistically orientated form of therapy, it incorporates the experiences and insights of ancient cultures (Ayurveda and Tibetan medicine) as well as the results of modern physics and current scientific medicine.
Myoreflex therapy is a manual regulation and pain therapy. Through special pressure point stimulation at the muscle insertion/muscle-tendon junction, neuromuscular regulation of the entire musculoskeletal system is achieved. The stimuli cause the organism to restore a functional, pain-free anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, and symptoms can consequently subside.
At the same time, myoreflex therapy offers access to all bodily functions/organs via the meridian system and is therefore a holistic treatment method for pain regulation.
At first glance, seemingly foreign elements of very different thought models are interwoven here to form a new and multi-layered model of action and therapy.
The key cornerstones of myoreflex therapy according to Dr Kurt Mosetter are :
– functional anatomy, orthopaedics
– individual pain biography
– biochemistry, neurobiochemistry
– physics and biokinematics
– psychotraumatology
– TCM and neural therapy
– brain research
Myoreflex therapy can be used for the following conditions, for example:
Diseases of the entire musculoskeletal system
(chronic pain, slipped discs, knee and hip complaints, shoulder-arm syndrome, scoliosis, cervical spine pain, etc.)Functional organ disorders
(Bluthochdruck, Herzrhythmusstörungen, Atembeschwerden, Asthma, Post-COVID-Syndrom, usw.)Neurological disorders
(Parkinson's disease, MS, ALS)Tension in the head and jaw muscles
(headaches, migraines, dizziness, visual disturbances, tinnitus, temporomandibular joint disorders, etc.)Psychotraumatic disorders
(Angststörungen, chronische emotionale Belastung, Panikattacken, Burnout)Behaviour disorders
(ADS/ADHS, etc.)
