TCM – Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic healing system aimed at restoring inner balance. It encompasses several key areas, including: Acupuncture, Movement therapy, Nutrition, Breathing techniques
A fundamental principle in TCM states:
"Only change is constant, and everything must remain in flow."
Maintaining a balance between Yin and Yang is essential.
Qi, or life energy, flows through our muscular system via energy channels known as meridians, which are arranged in Yin-Yang pairs. These meridians form a complex network within the body, enabling the continuous exchange and flow of energy.
Each meridian is associated with a specific element, according to the Five Element Theory, which serves as the foundation of TCM. These five elements interact in a dynamic system, either supporting or regulating one another. Their harmonious relationship is essential for overall well-being.
The Five Element Theory
The Five Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—represent different aspects of nature, the body, and its energetic processes. Each element is linked to specific organs, emotions, and physiological functions, forming a fundamental guide for diagnosis and treatment in TCM.
